About Martina (She/Her)

I enjoy working with adults of all cultures and backgrounds who are overcoming the effects of abuse within relationships. I am particularly interested in helping those who are survivors of narcissistic abuse. My approach to healing from narcissistic abuse is based in my study of the work of Dr. Ramani Durvasula.

If you’ve been abused in relationships, whether it was emotional, verbal, physical, sexual, or spiritual abuse - even if it happened long ago, it can affect your trust in yourself and other people for your whole life. The trauma of this type of experience won’t go away on its own - we can’t just “get over it,” or “put the past in the past.” The good news is, it is possible to heal these core wounds which change the way we feel about ourselves and others.

It’s possible to feel safe in the world, and to have safe and healthy relationships, even if you’ve found yourself repeating the same patterns throughout your life and you have no idea why.

Using parts work, Attachment Informed EMDR and other trauma and attachment focused therapy methods along with a strong therapeutic relationship, I can help you learn to set boundaries, express yourself, and feel confident to be who you are to live your most empowered life, regardless of what anyone else thinks of you.

We will work together to set goals that work for you, to create the life you want.

I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming to all cultures and identities. I work with adults only and am available to work with clients in Maryland virtually.
